Why being a Prepper?
"Because it's the insurance that no insurance company sells!"
First, it would probably be wise to distinguish between the terms Prepper & Survivalist!
Prepper is the term that designates a person who believes that a disaster or emergency situation is likely to occur in the near future and who actively prepares for it, usually by stockpiling food, ammunition and other supplies. His residence often becomes his HQ - Headquarters from which he can hold a siege. We could see the prepper as the little pig in the brick house!
Survivalism refers to the action of knowing how to actively contend with emergency situations, such as natural disasters and other disasters causing disruptions to the social order caused by political or economic crises. The survivalist therefore seeks to perfect his ability to survive in the midst of the external elements, both in the city and in nature. We could see him as the archetype of John Rambo!
